Meet Christine and other camp staff to sign your children up for our fully supervised kids camp. Drop off your registration forms and inquire about the program.

Main Steps
Fully supervised and exciting program just for kids! Please register at the Camp Registration on Sunday or at the front desk. Dining Room Lunch Included (12 yrs and under).

3. Youth Road Hockey Tournament
Basketball Court
Bring your skills and meet our activity staff for a good ol’ fashion road hockey game. Don’t worry though; no one will be yelling “CAR!” during this game. Go for the Delawana Cup Championship!

Join our Teen Coordinators Damien & Amy at the Boathouse bar to meet some of your fellow teens on-site. Darts, pool, karaoke – whatever you feel like. See you there. Ages 13+ please.

Tennis Courts
Let the Delawana’s on-site tennis instructor Alex teach you the forehand, backhand and maybe even a few overhead smashes! Best for beginners. Ages 7-16 please.

8. Kids Rockin’ Mini Golf

Music, mini golf, prizes and a whole lot more. You can even bring mom & dad if you want! Stop by the Social Kiosk first to sign-out your putter and ball.

15. High Tech Treasure Hunting
Social Kiosk
After an introductory lesson on using Global Positioning System (GPS) units, you will be asked to correctly answer animal trivia questions that will lead you to a geocache treasure. The team that correctly answers the most questions and returns with the most treasures will be awarded official bragging rights!

16. Wet N’ Scaly

An introduction to the diversity of reptiles in Ontario, this live animal show will offer you an up close glimpse of some of our neighboring snakes and turtles. Wye Marsh staff will point out identification features and behavioral adaptations, as well as ways in which you can help protect these threatened species.

17. Beausoleil Island Guided Hike *
Main Docks
Join the Wye Marsh for a fascinating tour of Beausoleil Island’s rich natural and cultural history. This four-hour guided tour will include a visit to the remains of an ancient Ojibway settlement, a controversial natural spring and the infamous Giant’s Chair. Bikes not recommended.

18. Animal Party!

Snakes and Lizards may make you shudder and Rats may make you cringe, but there is more to these animals then HOLLYWOOD lets you see. Walking through a zoo can be interesting, but how many times have you wanted to reach out and touch the animals?? At our Animal Party, you'll have the chance to do just that!

19. Pond Peeking

With dip nets in hand, participants of all ages will enjoy uncovering the Marsh Monsters that reside in a small pond on Royal Island. Find larva, leaches, striders, and snails and learn how to identify the creatures with the help of a Wye Marsh Naturalist. Discover how these creatures are adapted to an aquatic-life, and what they can tell us about environmental quality.

20. Brush with Nature
Mohawk Room
Create a lasting view of Georgian Bay vistas by painting your scene using water colours. This program will help you open your eyes and re-discover the natural beauty of Georgian Bay, as well as the fun of painting! This water colour course is geared towards beginners, though those with experience painting will have fun too! All supplies are provided - all you need is imagination!

21. Orienteering

After learning the basic skills of compass and map reading, you will be challenged with both a photo orienteering course (Delawana main land), as well as a control orienteering course (Royal Island). Earn points for your accuracy and uncover a riddle!

22. Wild Detectives
Mohawk Room
Straight walkers, bounders, hoppers, and waddlers are roaming the Delawana Inn! You will learn what these terms mean and will get the opportunity to uncover the truth behind the mysterious tracks around the grounds using your new animal tracking skills. In addition, each participant will make a cast of their favorite animal footprint mold .

24. The Famous Delawana Pool/Beach Party!!!
Pool (Mon, Wed, Fri) / Beach (Tues, Thurs, Sat)
Like we could actually jam more stuff into this Delawana tradition. If you’ve never been to one of our pool/beach parties before then check this one out early in the week. We guarantee you’ll be coming back everyday! Music, dancing, bingo, prizes and more!

26. Delawana Pirate Night

New for 2011, this is something you won't want to miss. Captain Jack will be joining us for a special Miss Midland "pirate" themed cruise followed by an interactive stage show. During the show Captain Jack will select various members of the audience to recruit and train on "How to be a Pirate". Comedy skits, how to talk like a pirate, sing-a-long pirate songs and prize give-a-ways. Packed with stunning visual & sound effects, music & props, a life-size ship, skeletons, a treasure chest and a talking life-like parrot!

27. Comedy in Motion with Bob Cates

Experience the amazingly funny world of Comedy in Motion with Canada’s favorite clean comedian & juggler, Bob Cates. This side-splitting interactive comedy show includes advanced juggling, crazy feats of skill, lasers and an insane finale! Bob, a Canadian Juggling Champion was twice named Best Entertainer of the Year at the Molson Canadian FEO Awards. He was twice nominated “Best One Man Show” at the Canadian Comedy Awards as well as Entertainer of the Year at the 07, 08, 09 & 10 Canadian Event Industry Awards. 29. Cosmic Connections

Start off with an interactive presentation and learn such things as “why do stars shine”. You’ll also learn about the many different objects that populate our universe (meteors, comets, planets, the milky way, etc.). A little later, come on back for the fabulous Star Party! Using telescopes and binoculars, you’ll head outside to examine the skies above. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Join the Delawana’s Social Director, Gary Don, for an easy stroll around the property. Learn where all the things you’re psyched to do are located!

35. Beausoleil Island Shuttle * (Max 12)
Main Docks
Pontoon Boat Taxi to Beausoleil Island, part of Georgian Bay Islands National Park. Here you can enjoy your afternoon in nature while embarking on a self-guided hike and/or bike tour of the Island. Trail maps can be picked up from the Front Desk. Be sure to bring a packed lunch, as there are no food options on the Island.

37. Miss Midland sunset cruise

Come aboard the famous Miss Midland for this exclusive cruise for Delawana guests only! This hour and a half journey takes you through the 30,000 islands pointing out important points along the way. This boat is so big you couldn’t even miss it if you wanted to! Not to worry, we’ll have you back for the show, which begins at 9:00pm tonight.

38. Movies under the stars

39. Picnic on Beausoliel Island * (Max 50)

It’s a Delawana tradition! Guests begin their picnic excursion boarding our Pontoon Boats to Beausoleil Island. A packed program features a BBQ lunch, land sports, games and a lot more. Enjoy the many trails, sandy beaches, and natural beauty of this incredible setting. Don’t forget your bathing suits and SANDALS! Additional cost: Children 13 & over and Adults $15.00 (charged to your room).
