Every year thousands of families go summer vacations or weekend getaways in Ontario, on the other hand, even more families unfortunately decide not to. This may be for many reasons such as cost, time or distance from home. The most common is the cost associated with a vacation. With today’s high gas prices and cost of living it’s hard to go all out but you don’t have to! Many believe that a vacation has to be an extravagant adventure to be memorable – when really it is the time together as a family that you will remember for years afterwards. It is the experience of togetherness that will reconnect a family and that doesn’t necessarily have to come with a high price tag.
The second reason is time. We are all busy. With both parents working, kids in school with homework, extra-circular activities/sports, time flies by.
