Honey Harbour, Ont., - Muskoka Trails Council and the Township of Georgian Bay have partnered with the Delawana Inn to host the third annual Muskoka Amazing Race.

The one day annual event is held to raise awareness of the 350-plus kilometers of recreational and urban trails in Muskoka. It’s been a successful fundraiser in past years, and the winners have taken home some tremendous prizes.

The funds raised from the Amazing Race are put to good use by helping the Muskoka Trails Council provide a comprehensive website, signage on trails, and to be the one-stop-shop for local trails information and support, create awareness, provide education and advocate Muskoka’s trails.

Operated just like the hit television program, teams of two will solve cryptic clues to walk, bike, boat, fly….to a variety of checkpoints where challenges await them.

The event will start and end at The Delawana Inn Spa & Conference Resort with an awards dinner taking place as part of the closing ceremonies. “It should be quite exciting for our guests to see all of the teams come through the resort” says Delawana Social Director Gary Don. “We are thrilled to be a part of anything that raises awareness for Muskoka”. KICX FM will also be covering the event with a live remote broadcast from the Delawana.
