Waterfront
Director
Highly motivated, energetic individual required. Extensive boating experience a must. Supervisory experience and knowledge of the surrounding area are preferred but not mandatory. Reporting directly to the Social Director, the job involves overseeing our entire Waterfront area. In addition to the responsibilities of Waterfront Staff, the Waterfront Director will also be responsible for weekly schedules and dealing with any and all waterfront issues. You will be the immediate supervisor for approximately 15 staff members. Dates involved are May October. Position of extreme responsibility. 6 days per week, day shifts with night duties, 50 60 hours per week. Room & board provided.
Children's Program Director
Highly motivated, energetic individual required. Extensive camp background a must. Supervisory experience preferred but not mandatory. Reporting directly to the Social Director, the job involves overseeing our entire children’s program consisting of the daycare, the Delawana VIK Club (Kids Camp) and the teen program. You will be the immediate supervisor for approximately 20 staff members. Weekly schedules, designing camp programs and dealing with any and all camp issues are some of the duties involved. Minimum dates involved (on-site) are June September with preparation work required in advance. Position of extreme responsibility. 6 days per week, day shifts with night duties, 50 60 hours per week.
Guest
Services Director
Highly motivated, energetic individual required. Reporting directly to the Social
Director, the job involves overseeing our Guest Services Department. You will be the immediate supervisor for 3 staff members. In addition to the responsibilities of a Guest Services Associate, the Guest Services Director will also be responsible for weekly schedules, creating resort information binders for Guest Services staff and following up with any/all issues. Customer service experience and an extremely outgoing, friendly personality are mandatory. Minimum dates involved (on-site) are June – September with preparation work required in advance. 6 days per week, day shifts with night duties, 50 – 60 hours per week.
Sound & Light Technician
As the resort sound & lighting technician, you are responsible for the operation and cleanliness of our main entertainment showroom. This includes acting as liaison between the resort and its various nightly acts. Duties include the operation of all sound and lighting requests during the show(s) and making sure that all showroom preparations are taken care of in advance. 3 nights a week you are also our resident DJ in the resort bar. Prior DJ experience and knowledge of sound & lighting equipment preferred. Minimal training provided. 6 days per week, mostly night shifts with some daytime duties, 40-50 hours per week, Positions available from June to September. Room & board provided for those over 18 years of age.
Teen
Coordinator Duties include supervising and entertaining young adults aged 13+. Creativity a must as the teen program does not follow a set schedule. You must always have a big list of things to do! You are required to keep participants happy using the resources available on the resort property. An outgoing personality & related experience required. Ages 21+ please. Overnight camping trips, canoeing & hiking and offsite excursions are some of the activities involved. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 45-50 hours per week. Positions are available from June to September.
Guest Services
Associate
Duties include greeting guests, answering questions about the resort, signing out equipment, arranging off-site activities, handling complaints and issues effectively. Customer service experience and an outgoing personality are essential. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 40 – 50 hours per week. Positions are available from June to September. Room & board provided for those over 18 years of age.
High Ropes Course and
Climbing Wall Instructor
Duties include operating and monitoring the climbing wall and high ropes course on a daily basis. You will be responsible for instructing guests on use of equipment while strictly enforcing safety guidelines. Related experience highly-preferred. Knowledge of climbing equipment & knots a definite asset. Training will be provided. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 40-50 hours per week, Positions available from June to September and May to late October. Room & board provided for those over 18 years of age.
Water-Ski Staff
In addition to the responsibilities of Waterfront Staff, duties include the programming and implementation of the Delawana Ski-School. Staff will teach beginners through advanced skiers, adults as well as children. Prior training and experience in boat towed activities required. All Water-ski staff are required to have their Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card. NLS and/or coaching certification(s) would be an asset. Job specific training will be provided. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 40-50 hours per week, Positions available from June to September. Room & board provided for those over 18 years of age.
Lifeguard
Duties include monitoring both pool and beach swimming areas. You will be responsible for keeping these areas clean and assisting guests with waterfront equipment (ie: lifejackets, paddles, etc.). You are expected to maintain a safe swim area for guests by enforcing both swim rules and those for our inflatable toys at the beach (ie: floating trampoline & iceberg). Lifeguarding experience and all associated qualifications mandatory. Knowledge of pool testing and chemicals is a definite asset. Other assets would include; beach NLS certificate & familiarity with aqua-fit as all lifeguards teach a daily class. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 40-50 hours per week, Positions available from June to September.
Activity
Staff
Duties include running various daily activities such as sports tournaments, scavenger hunts & pool parties! You must love interacting with people of all ages and be comfortable talking to a room full of people. Meal announcements, entertainment introductions and programming creativity are all part of this ‘limelight position’. Working directly with the Social Director you must be an extremely extraverted and friendly individual. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 50+ hours per week. Positions are available from June to September.
Infant
Care Staff
Duties include the supervision of children 0 to 3 years of age. You will be responsible for daily care including bottles, diapers, naps and creative play time. You will also be dealing with the parents so you must be mature and comfortable interacting with adults and infants. Early Childhood Educators preferred. An outgoing personality & some degree of ECE schooling and experience required. Job specific training will be provided. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 45-50 hours per week. Positions are available from June to September. Room & board provided for those over 18 years of age.
Tennis Pro
Duties include a one hour per day clinic for adults and children. Prior instruction experience preferred but not required. Extensive tennis background a must. This job is available to a staff member who can also do another job at the resort for more hours. Most likey a Kids Camp Staff. Duties include interactive supervision of children 3 to 12 years of age. You will be responsible for leading games, arts& crafts, sports and other daily organized activities. An outgoing personality & prior experience working with children are both required. Creativity is also a HUGE asset! Job specific training will be provided for non-tennis related duties. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 40-50 hours per week, Positions available from June to September. Room & board provided for those over 18 years of age.
Sailing Instructor Duties include maintenance and upkeep of our 4 sailboats, testing guests on sailing ability and operation of the 3-day Delawana sailing school. Must be comfortable instructing children and adults. Patience and an outgoing personality required. Blue or green instructors preferred but not mandatory. Some windsurfing experience is a definite asset! Minimal training provided. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 40-50 hours per week, Positions available from June to September.
Waterfront
Staff
Duties include the renting and maintenance of our wave-runners, fishing boats, canoes/ kayaks and paddleboats. This includes leading guest on guided wave-runner tours around Georgian Bay. You will also be responsible for taking guests on narrated, scenic pontoon boat cruises and monitoring our mains docks. An outgoing personality & some degree of boating experience mandatory. All Waterfront staff are required to have their Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card. Strong swimming skills would be an asset. Job specific training will be provided. 6 days per week, day shifts with some night duties, 40-50 hours per week, Positions available from June to September. Room & board provided for those over 18 years of age.
Kids Camp Staff
