Will Delawana’s “Stella the Sturgeon” meet “Bob the Bobber” During Family Fishing Week?

Honey Harbour, Georgian Bay, Ontario – June 2004 – Delawana Family Fishing Weekend, begins at noon Friday July 9th, throughout the weekend until Sunday July 11 and coincides with Ontario’s free fishing weekend and National Fishing Week July 3-11.

Bob the Bobber, the Mascot for Ontario Fishing Weekend has been seen floating around the Delawana Docks, looking for his Stella. The relationship is rumored to be more than just platonic.

Delawana Inn Spa & Conference Resort guests will have the opportunity for fishing for a variety of species. Prizes will be awarded to children in a number of categories.

Kids love to fish off the Delawana docks and shoreline! The Georgian Bay area is well known for the great variety of species and many world trophies. Bass, Pickerel, Northern Pike, Crappie, and Perch are common. The “Big Ones” Sturgeon and Musky are less common but can be caught with a little bit of luck.
