Jack Kohane, international freelance writer, author and photographer, describes the Delawana Inn Spa & Conference Resort experience with a sense of nostalgia highlighting the history and the changes that have taken place.

A true family getaway, the Del, has fashioned its reputation on a number of fronts: fun for the kids, freedom for adults and life-affirming spa treatments. Today, although facility upgrades continue, we are relieved that the Del as country manor-inspired atmosphere and spirit remain very much intact. We opted for the Tamaracks two bedrooms skirted by a walkout sundeck with a fabulous panorama of the lake and bordering hump-backed islands a glorious way to greet the morning and affording an unparalleled spectacle of violet/crimson/azure skies at sunset.
