The Delawana has proudly been operating for 108 years. Proud because
we believe in preserving, educating and continuing the many traditions
that have been handed down from years past. Royal Island, for the
exception of some small hiking trails, has been left unaltered from
its original historic state. We've managed to gather quite the collection
of photos and articles from throughout Delawana history. These can
be found proudly on display in our main lobby area. The reprint
of a 1953 newsletter allowed people to see the quick communications
that were sent by telegram, advising of fishing for the Spring pickerel
run. Finally, We are honored to have been awarded the "Best
Summer Family Resort in Canada", by City Parent Readers in
their 10th annual survey. Our Heritage shapes our present identity
and provides insight for our future.
