DELAWANA IS PET FRIENDLY

The entire family is welcome at the Delawana Inn Spa & Conference Resort. We know how difficult it is to leave your beloved pet behind when traveling and our pet friendly accommodations welcome all members of your family, whether it is your dog, cat or even your bird. To plan a successful trip with your pet please notify reservations that you are bringing your pet prior to arrival (e.g. book in advance) as we have only a limited number of pet-designated rooms available.

Our Pet Policy:

Please note that the Delawana has a long history of being a pet free property. Because of this we need to remember that many of our guests may not be as comfortable with our new pet policy as we are. With those guests in mind we ask that this information be strictly followed.

1. All pets must be registered when making your reservation.
2. Rooms are limited to a maximum of two pets.
3. You are responsible for any and all damages your pet may cause.
4. You must take all reasonable measures to ensure that your pets do not disturb other guests. You are responsible for any compensation the Delawana will have to make to other guests as a result of noise complaints originating from your room.
5. Our housekeeping staff will not clean your room while your pet is in attendance. Please contact the Front Desk in the morning to schedule a time when you and your pets will be out of the room.
6. We encourage you to enjoy our property with your pet(s) on a leash.
7. We ask that pets be kept away from some specific areas of the property including:
   • The Interior of any building other than your own room.
   • The Mackinaw Restaurant deck
   • The Pool and Pool Deck
   • The North Beach and immediate area
   • Any playground and the immediate areas
   • The Delawana Pines Golf Course (See #11 below)
8. Our “pet friendly” rooms include six rooms in the Oaks as well as the Oakview and Nickerson Houses.
9. If your pet LOVES to swim we have a beach reserved just for them! The ‘Royal View Beach which is located next to the Lilacs and behind the Royal View Cottage. The waterway in front of this beach can be busy at times, please stay close to shore and be aware of boat traffic.
10. If your pet LOVES to hike our own private “Royal Island” is wonderful for hiking! Our pontoon boats can take you and your pet over by request. Please make sure all pets are leashed while enjoying the island.
11. If your pet LOVES to run the Delawana Pines Golf Course is the perfect place! In the mornings before 10:00am and in the evenings after 6:00pm (when the golf course is closed) your pets can run around to their hearts content. As tempted as they might be, please keep them from digging and avoid the sand traps and putting greens.
12. A parked vehicle is no place for an animal. We kindly ask that you NEVER leave your pet unattended in the car or boat.
13. Please make sure you pick up after your pet at all times.
14. Pet supplies and pet food are not provided by the Delawana. Please see below for list of nearby locations for pet supplies.
