Dining Room Managers
Experience bartending, serving, and supervising or managing required. Responsible for the training, scheduling, motivation and supervision of the Dining room and conference staff. Customer satisfaction and quality of service are a priority. Areas of responsibility are the dining room, meeting rooms, break stations and the service bar. 60 hours per week, 6 days per week, split shifts, on site accommodation available. Positions available from early May to mid October. Wage negotiable based on experience plus gratuities.
Assistant Dining Room Managers
Experience bar tending and serving are required, some experience supervising or managing is an asset but not necessary. Responsible for assisting in the operation of the dining room, the service bar, and the meeting rooms. 50 hours per week, split shifts. Position available from early May to mid October.
Dining Room Servers
Food, alcohol, and wine service. Clearing and resetting tables, seating guests and refreshing dining room between sittings. Working mainly in the dining room but occasionally in meeting rooms and some cocktail serving. Breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts. Must have Smart Serve Certification. Some serving experience is helpful but not essential. Training provided. Up to 6 days per week, full time, split shifts. Most positions available from mid June to Labour Day. Some positions available from Mid May to Thanksgiving.
Food & Beverage Porters
Assisting the servers in the dining room, running food to buffets and tables, clearing and resetting tables, seating guests, refreshing dining room between sittings, clearing and resetting conference rooms and break out stations, receiving and putting away deliveries, cleaning and sterilizing of the kitchen and storage areas, washing and putting away dishes, cutlery, pots, and other cooking utensils. No experience necessary, training provided. Up to 6 days per week, full time, split shifts. Most positions available from mid June to Labour Day. Some positions available from Mid May to Thanksgiving.
Bartenders
Must have Smart Serve Certificate and serving or bar tending experience. Responsible for bartending in all liquor licensed areas and occasional temporary bars. This includes being responsible for the bar inventories, cash, cleaning, opening, closing and serving customers. Some patio restaurant serving shifts available in the summer. Up to 6 days a week, split shifts. Positions available from mid May to Thanksgiving or mid June to Labour Day. Training provided.
Patio Restaurant Servers
The Mackinaw Restaurant is our busy licensed patio restaurant and is open for lunch and dinner only. The restaurant seats 160 both inside and outside overlooking Georgian Bay. Servers will serve food and beverages in the restaurant, on the patio and around the pool area. Applicants must have Smart Serve Certification and experience serving in a fast paced environment. Training provided. Up to 6 days per week split shifts. Positions available from mid June to Labour Day only.
Sous Chefs
Must have minimum 5 years culinary experience, and strong buffet and modern professional culinary experience. Duties include supervising and training of kitchen personnel, monitoring and maintaining food and labour costs, controlling food wastage, communication with kitchen staff and other departments, preparation and cooking of food for menus and buffets. Must be flexible, able to work in different kitchens and able to perform various tasks as assigned by the executive chef. 6 days per week, 60 hours per week minimum, Positions available from mid May to mid October and mid June to Labour Day. Wage negotiable based on experience.
Cooks
Line cooks, experienced cooks, short order cooks, prep cooks and pizza makers to prepare breakfast, lunch, diner, buffets, banquets, and snacks as determined by our guests. Up to 6 days per week, full time, split shifts. Positions available from mid May to Thanksgiving and mid June to Labour Day. Training provided.
Dish Washers
Duties include receiving and putting away deliveries, cleaning and sterilizing of the kitchen and storage areas, washing and putting away dishes, cutlery, pots, and other cooking utensils. Up to 6 days a week, Full time, some split shifts. Positions available from May to October and June to September.
