| Dining
Room Managers
Experience bar tending and serving is necessary, some experience
supervising, or managing is an asset but not necessary. Responsible
for assisting in the operations of the dining room, the bar, and
the meeting rooms. 50 hours per week minimum, split shifts. Positions
available from early May to October. Wage negotiable based on experience.
Dining Room Servers
Food, alcohol, and wine service. Clearing and resetting tables,
seating guests and refreshing dining room between sittings. Working
mainly in the dining room but occasionally in meeting rooms and
some cocktail serving. Breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts. Some
serving experience and a smart serve certificate is helpful but
not essential. Training provided. Up to 6
days per week, full time, split shifts. Positions available from
May or June to September and October.
Dining Room Porters/Conference
porters
Assisting the servers in the dining room, running food to buffets
and tables, clearing and resetting tables, seating guests, refreshing
dining room between sittings, clearing and resetting conference
rooms and break out stations. No experience necessary, training
provided. Up to 6 days per week, full time,
split shifts. Positions available from May and June to September
and October.
Bartenders
Should have bar tending experience and have Smart Serve certificate.
Responsible for bartending in all liquor licensed areas and portable
bars. Some cocktail serving shifts and split shifts available. Up
to 6 days a week, full time, Positions available from May and June
to September and October. Training provided.
Patio Restaurant Servers
The Mackinaw Restaurant is a busy restaurant on our property, open
for lunch and dinner only. The restaurant seats 160 inside and outside
on our large patio overlooking Georgian Bay. Servers will serve
food and cocktails in the restaurant, on the patio and around the
pool area. Serving experience is an asset. Training provided. Up
to 6 days per week, full time, split shifts. Positions available
from June to September.
Cooks-All Levels
Line cooks, experienced cooks, short order cooks and pizza makers
to prepare breakfast, lunch, diner, buffets, banquets, and snacks
as determined by guests. Up to 6 days a week,
full time, split shifts. Positions available from May and June to
September and October. Training provided
Kitchen
Porters
Duties include receiving and putting away deliveries, cleaning and
sterilizing of the kitchen and storage areas, washing and putting
away dishes, cutlery, pots, and other cooking utensils. Up to 6
days a week, Full time, some split shifts. No experience necessary,
training provided. Positions available from
May to October and June to September.
Sous Chefs
Must have red seal, minimum 5 years culinary experience, and strong
buffet and modern professional culinary experience. Duties include
supervising and training of kitchen personnel, monitoring and maintaining
food and labour costs, controlling food wastage, communication with
kitchen staff and other departments, preparation and cooking of
food for menus and buffets. Must be flexible, able to work in different
kitchens and able to perform various tasks as assigned by the executive
chef. 6 days per week, 50 hours per week minimum,
Positions available from May to October. Wage negotiable based on
experience.
