A lovely "every day wine" with the colour and complexities that everyone looks for in their "every day sippers". A medium garnet colour with lifted nuances of black fruits, tobacco and ripe black cherry accompany the smokey, cedar, hickory characters. The medium bodied palate is rich and full of characters like forest fruits, leather and tobacco. Spicy complexities such as black pepper and cloves run throughout. Medium weight tannins make this wine enjoyable today on its own and also provide grip, astringency and weight for "every day meals" of burgers, pastas, pizzas, tomato sauces and mild cheeses. |
